This gathering is open to both students and families who are curious about our exciting robotics program and wish to experience the thrill of trying out for the competitive FLL Explorer team. FIRST® LEGO® League Explore is designed to build interest in science and technology through a real-world challenge that can be solved using research, critical thinking, and imagination. Each year, FIRST® provides teams around the world with a new challenge that focuses on real-world issues that scientists and engineers are facing today. The students work as a team to research the issue and create a solution for the challenge provided, which they can present to their community at Festivals.
Our FLLE team will serve students grades 1-4. The FLLE team challenge usually is released in August and the team event registration usually opens in October, and the FLLE teams usually have their expos in May. This information meeting will provide an overview of our team's goals and activities. FLLE is preparing youth to be the future leaders of the STEM field by approaching robotics as a team sport rather than a classroom subject. No prior experience is necessary, and we warmly welcome all enthusiastic individuals!
